Trustee Roles at The Brent Centre for Young People

The Brent Centre for Young People exists to improve young people’s lives so they can manage their challenges now and become happy and healthy adults. Their trained therapists are specialists in the provision of effective mental health treatment of young people who need it most.

We are currently supporting the Brent Centre for Young People (BCYP) to recruit new trustees to support their work in the treatment and research of adolescent mental health. This is an opportunity to be part of a renewed leadership team at Board level and to support the CEO and senior management team as they develop a new fit-for-purpose strategy and organisation to respond to the growing needs of young people in Brent and beyond.

We are looking for people from a diverse set of disciplines, backgrounds and experience, but who share the common traits of good judgement, integrity and a passion for young people’s wellbeing and quality provision. The focus of BCYP will remain rooted in a psychoanalytic approach and targeted at those in the community who need it most.

We will be holding the first discussions with interested candidates and then we will ensure there is ample opportunity to meet with our Chair, CEO and others in the Centre as part of the process. As a first step, interested candidates should send a brief cover note and CV to katekuper@bateleurpartners.net by 13 December.

Trustee Roles at Tore's Foundation - South Africa

Tore’s Foundation’s vision is to transform fragmented societies by creating democratically engaged communities. Their mission is to empower young people to develop their critical thinking and discover their voice through debate in order to transform their communities and engage politically. Tore's Foundation's programmes expand their outlook and encourage their interest and participation in democracy and its institutions.

Tore’s Foundation was set up in memory of Tore Eikeland, tragically killed aged 21 during the Utøya massacre in Norway in July 2011. Tore was a rising young political star, a passionate speaker and youth activist, concerned with social and democratic issues both at home and abroad.

We are now assisting Tore's Foundation to search for new Non-Executive Directors (‘Trustees’) to join their Board in South Africa at an extremely important as they plan to scale our work to reach more young people. If you have the profile and interest to join the Board, we would love to hear from you. Please send a covering letter with your CV to Kate Kuper via katekuper@bateleurpartners.net by 26 January.
